Welcome to my June favourites. I am going to be posting one of these each and every month! As I have a YouTube channel all about Minimalism it would not make sense for my monthly favourites to be full of new items I have purchased each month... also I don't buy many new items! So with that in mind my monthly favourites will consist of things I've owned for a while but wish to share, favourite books, tv shows, movies and even places!

Rocketbook:

The first thing is actually quite Minimalist and very sustainable and that is the Rocketbook. For those of you who haven't heard of this, it is basically a never-ending notebook. It looks like a normal notebook except when you're done taking notes you can scan these notes to your phone and then rub them off and the notepad becomes good as new. All your notes and drawings etc become saved on your phone and you can also set it up so that your notes automatically get sent to different places ie email.

Price: £16-£37 (depending on the style and size you opt for).

The Midnight Library - Matt Haig

The second is a book I have finished reading this month and that is The Midnight Library by Matt Haig. I had this book on Kindle and although it wasn't the greatest book I've ever read, I really enjoyed it and the plot and premise was very interesting. I'd definitely recommend it and without spoiling it, it's basically about a library which sits between life and death. When the main character Nora visits the library, she can see what her other lives could have been like if she had made different choices.

Price: £4.28 Kindle, £4.50 Paperback

Courgetti Pesto Pasta:

The next is a courgetti pesto 'pasta' I've been loving recently. It's really quick and easy to make and so so tasty! I blend walnuts, basil, oil, water, lemon juice, parmesan, spinach and garlic together to make a lovely pesto. Then I grate some courgettes to resemble fettuccine. I then fry off some olives, sundried tomatoes and onion, add the courgetti and then the pesto. You can quite easily make this vegan by just not adding the parmesan or if you don't like a particular ingredient then just swap it out! If you want to see this recipe come together.

I have shared it on my Instagram at Hayleys_Hacks - I'll be posting video recipes there one a week so check it out if you're interested :)

Inside Bill's Brain: Decoding Bill Gates

The next is a Netflix documentary called 'Inside Bill's Brain: Decoding Bill Gates'. As the title suggests this documentary explores who Bill Gates is, his life and the things that the Gates foundation are doing. I don't want to give too much away but I just found it really insightful.

BioGo Rice Husk Re-useable Coffee Cup:

The final thing in my June favourites isn't actually something I own but rather something I purchased as a gifts. It's a re-useable coffee cup. The reason I like this item so much is because it's made from rice husk which is a waste product from the rice farming industry. This cup not only looks nice but is eco-friendly and insulates your drink very well. It also comes in many different colours and has a nice lid that stop your drink spilling.

Price: 350ml £10.99, 450ml £12.99 (Amazon)

I hope you liked this blog post featuring some of my favourites from the past month!
